We offer remapping for a wide range of vehicles including trucks and vans, using our CMD Flashtec ECU Remapping Tool, we're able to tune most vehicles via the OBD port and offer bench tuning for post 2010 vehicles fitted with locked ECU's.
Our software has been extensively dyno developed to offer the best possible performance gains whilst taking into account longevity and reliability, we're able to remap approximately 90% of modern vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers including BMW, Ford, Nissan, Vauxhall, Renault, Citroen and many more.
Our Economy Software has been developed to optimise your vehicles fuel economy, this stems from the improvement in torque and is particularly noticeable on turbo diesel vehicles.
Our Stage 1 Performance Software has been developed for standard vehicles, this level of tuning doesn't require any modifications and is recommended as the first step if you're new to vehicle tuning or are just looking to improve your vehicles performance without having to fit any bolt-on modifications.
Our Stage 2 Software has been developed to support aftermarket exhausts, intakes and intercoolers, for certain makes and models we support modifications above Stage 2, contact us for more information.
For a model specific quote or for information regarding the performance gains, please contact us with your vehicle reg.
Optional before and after dyno power runs are £50 with a remapping package.
On average our software delivers performance increases of of up to 35%, sometimes more depending on the particular vehicle, please contact us with your vehicle reg for more information.
Turbo diesel vehicles respond incredibly well to tuning with increased torque delivering a fuel economy improvement of up to 20% dependant on driving style.
Improved throttle response, smoother power delivery and speed limit removal, these are just some of the noticeable benefits.
Payment Assist allows any invoice over £149 to be spread over three months with no interest, no fee and no credit check (under £1000), you just pay a 25% deposit by Visa debit card with the next three payments taken in monthly instalments.
We're certain that you'll be more than delighted with the outcome of our Software but we understand that there are many companies out there making bold claims, to provide you with added peace of mind, we offer a 7 Day Satisfaction Guarantee with our Remapping Packages, T&C's apply.
Our workshop is equipped with a Dyno Dynamics Four Wheel Drive Chassis Rolling Road, we offer optional dyno power runs with our ECU remapping packages, if you're interested in finding out just how much power your car currently produces or you'd like boost and AFR logged we're here to assist.
Our dyno is available for professional hire and club rolling road days, contact us for more information.
A Power Run Session consists of three back to back power runs with power and torque measured at the wheels or flywheel with AFR and (where applicable) boost monitoring, our dyno can measure up to 2400bhp.
Modern vehicles are fitted with an ECU (Engine Control Unit), this is essentially a computer that reads real time information from various sensors and responds accordingly by adjusting air fuel ratio, ignition timing, torque requests, boost pressure and so on, the operation of your vehicle's ECU including how it responds to the various inputs is controlled by software created by the vehicle manufacturer, this is where remapping comes in.
By remapping your vehicle, we're essentially modifying the software from the vehicle manufacturer with the aim of improving the vehicles overall performance or economy, this is achieved by optimising various parameters (air fuel ratio, boost pressure etc) within the ECU. It's important to remember that not all remaps are the same, this is why you'll see variation in pricing, quoted power gains and features from one company to another, ultimately what you're paying for is the knowledge and experience of the company that's remapping your vehicle.
This varies from vehicle to vehicle but as a rule, most remapping sessions take approximately 2-3 hours.
You can continue to service your vehicle according to the manufacturers servicing schedule if you've booked in for an economy, stage 1 or stage 2 performance remap.
If you've booked dyno power runs with your remap then yes, we'll attempt to measure your vehicle's performance before and after remapping. As we're unable to run every vehicle on our dyno, power runs are optional as it wouldn't be fair to charge every customer the same price if they're unable to receive the same service but how we remap your vehicle remains the same, whether or not you've booked dyno power runs.
Yes, if we've remapped your vehicle then we retain the ability to either reinstall the ECU software that was on your vehicle when it was originally presented to us or the latest stock software version from the manufacturer.
Yes, a remap is a modification and as such you must tell your insurer but you can be assured, we won't willingly share any information regarding your vehicle or the services you've purchased from us with third parties.
If you have a turbo diesel vehicle, whether you've booked an economy remap or a performance remap, you can expect a decent MPG improvement (up to 20% with an economy remap), the economy gains are more limited if you have a petrol vehicle.
Our software has been developed to remain within the safety limits of your vehicle's hardware, providing your vehicle is mechanically sound with no underlying mechanical or electrical faults/weaknesses then a remap should not cause any harm but you should always consider the age and condition of your vehicle, please contact us if you have any concerns.
You may have come across remapping companies advertising a "software warranty", in reality this is just a clever bit of marketing as software and hardware are very different, by definition a remap is a software only modification, we're not fitting any new parts (hardware) to your vehicle that we could offer a warranty on, however, in the unlikely event you encounter an issue with our software, we will of course correct this in line with our labour warranty.
Yes, should you return your vehicle to a main dealer once it's been remapped, if the vehicle is test driven, the improved performance will be noticeable and some manufacturers have developed diagnostic tools that detect modified ECU software.
This question leads on from the one above, the only advice we can offer is that you should consult the terms and conditions of your vehicle specific warranty.
This question stems from confusion over what live mapping entails, in a nutshell, live mapping is a very specific type of tuning that only applies to vehicles that have been fitted with aftermarket engine management systems such as Syvecs and MoTeC. These systems are primarily used for motorsport applications and typically cost upwards of £3,000, the live mapping element grants tuners the ability to make on the fly adjustments to the ECU calibration and monitor those changes in real time, this is a great feature but it's not one that's supported by standard ECU's, even those found in high performance cars like GT-R's and RS6's.
